Not Basketball Madness. Cannon madness!
March was very busy, but very exciting. Observe…
My nephew, Brandon Nelson Hurst, was born!
My new roomies, Johanna and Sam!
Today my sister’s birthday!!!
She is so beautiful and I love her so much.
Yah for birthdays!
I had a very fun Birthday! Celebrated with a delicious home cooked breakfast and then later a fabulous dinner at The Melting Pot. For my birthday cake, my amazing mother made a “camera” cake. Isn’t she just brilliant?!
Now I’m not a sports person at all really, but of course my fam has to have a fantastic Superbowl Feast! So we ate our deliciousness and watched the commercials. Nikki also brought over just a few brands from her Root Beer collection. As an MT, my comments for the Superbowl were 1) Christina was good but Shoshana could take her any day and 2) What was up with Lea? I know I’m not a fan, but she seriously sounded like she had a frog in her throat. Here’s the food pics:
And of course their was Valentines Day filled with love and sweets in the Cannon household!
-Some people just don’t know when to stop.
-I’ve found myself in the midst of grumpy people lately. I try to be extra happy but it seems to make the room sadder… Lighten up people.
-It feels good to be at the studio again. Different but the same.
-I REALLY need to do a photoshoot. ASAP.
-Anxiously awaiting Valentines Day. Anthropologie’s Wedding Line is being released. Dream come true! (I’m a huge wedding geek…)
-As of this very moment: New York= 30 degrees, Houston=59 degrees. Jealous, slushy New York???
-What was my life like without Ashley Van Pelt? I don’t remember.
-If you slur the words, “It’s Alright” so that it said, “S’alright,” it sounds like “Sorry.”
-I love my family so so much. I must say, I love living with my bro-in-law, Ryan. I never had brothers, so its fun to have some brotherly teasing. He gives the best advice and always provides great conversation. He and Nat are the cutest couple and I love seeing them all the time!!
-Been home for a week now and do you think I’ve emptied my suitcases? Probably should get on that…
-I’m about to turn 19? This year has certainly flown.
-Isn’t this photo just stunning:
have a great week!
Last night was our Invited Dress Rehearsal where we could invite family and friends to come see the show so that we could adjust to having an audience. It was so thrilling to look out and see an audience. I kept thinking to myself, “I can’t believe this is real.”
I was so lucky to have Annie, Jason, Johanna, Eric, and Jennifer there supporting me. I love them so much!
One more final dress rehearsal tonight and then our first show is tomorrow!!!!
Mom and Nat are arriving today!
Had an amazing week of tech! What a thrill it is to perform on the Great Stage. I started crying during the first time we did the shine kick line with music on stage. It’s the most incredible feeling to look out into that house with the lights shining up from the ground and see your legs kicking alongside the world’s famous kicking legs and realize, “Wow! This is real! Dreams do come come true.”
Tomorrow starts our first round of dress rehearsals. Can’t wait to get the costumes on and add that whole dimension to the show. First show is Friday!!! Mom and Nat get here on Thursday. It’s going to be an amazing week!
Here’s another video of Nat made for BAHBT’s Dracula which opens tomorrow night!! It looks absolutely breathtaking and I so wish I could see it live. What an amazing production this is going to be and you don’t want to miss it!
Stunning. Have a great run for everyone in it! I miss all of you so much and congrats on a magnificent production!
So back home in Houston, BAHBT is getting ready to open a new ballet production of Dracula with choreography by Luis Fuente. I’ve seen much of the show and it looks amazing. I’m so sad that I’ll miss it!
How about you do me a favor. Why don’t you go see it for me?
Shows are October 22 & 23 at 7:30 and the 23rd & 24th at 2pm. Call 281-480-1617 for tickets or visit www.bahbt.org.
Here’s a video advertisement for the show that my sister, Natalie, put together. Natalie is responsible for the story, music, and much more for this production and I’m so proud of her. Enjoy and go see it this weekend!!
Here’s a review of my summer!
I always consider the start of summer as June 1st. Two days later was the one anniversary of the day that changed my life.

A few days later we were in Gtown for RAFA’s WOZ. It was such a great experience to be in the show and to be on the artistic and technical side of the show. I’m grateful for everything I’ve learned and the people that I’ve met doing this production.
On the 16th of June, Max turned 16 and I gave him a fun scavenger hunt to find all his gifts.
Two days later we were off for the big apple!!
I attended the Rockette Intensive for my 3rd time and had an absolute blast. It was a truly a memorable experience and how special it was to find out that I was a Rockette in front of all the parents and students. I will never forget it.
Came home on the 4th of July to an excellent dinner with the fam.
Next day we celebrated Nikki‘s birthday!
Then started Singin in the Rain rehearsals!
Here’s what happened during the rehearsal process…
I went and took pictures of United Player’s production of Children of Eden.
I also got to see Miller’s production of Little Shop with a bunch of RAFA peeps! Jackery Delackery was the best ensemble kid ever!!
My sister Ashlyn, her husband, and my beautiful nieces came for a long visit. Here are some pictures from their stay (including a surprise birthday party for Ash!)
So as my summer comes to an end, I’m preparing for a number of things. Moving to New york, finding an apartment, minor eyelid surgery, and getting in shape for upcoming rehearsals… I’m so excited for these next few months. A little scared and nervous but so excited.
Hope your summer was a lovely one and that you’re pumped for this fall and winter season!
