Little Letters

It’s been a year since my last Little Letters so I thought it was about time to bring it back!

Dear New York, though I will be leaving you for a while soon, I’ll miss you. I won’t miss the winter though.

Dear Houston, it’s amazing how often I find myself missing you.

Dear Michael Tapley, thank you for being the absolute perfect mentor for me. I couldn’t be more excited to share the stage with you in WC!

Dear Mom, I cannot put into words how much I love you. Thank you for always being there to listen, talk, comfort, encourage, and direct me.

Dear Internet, you rock. It’s because of you I can sit in my living room and watch General Conference.

Dear clouds, I’m in love with your always changing patterns. I love the light rays and the silver linings you create. You are stunning.

Dear pasta, thank you for being yummy and easy to make. Maybe one of these days I’ll learn to cook something else.

Dear me, get your butt into a ballet class this week!

Dear Fall, you are my favorite. I love seeing the leaves change colors.

Dear Radio City, I’m not going to lie… I do miss you. And it is hard sometimes. But I’m forever grateful to everything that you taught me. I was extremely lucky to have you as my first professional job. I’m grateful for the friendships I gained and the lessons I learned.

Dear Itunes, get ready to put the White Christmas album on repeat!!!

Dear President Monson, you are the best storyteller. Oh how I’ve enjoyed listening to you this Conference weekend.

Dear you, I need a new book to read. Got any suggestions?

Happy Sunday! I’m so enjoying the talks being spoken in General Conference. Looking forward to everything I’ve got going on this week.

Peeking in on Dracula Rehearsals

This weekend on my trip to Houston I was able to photograph BAHBT’s Dracula rehearsals. I didn’t get to see last years production and probably won’t be able to attend it this year as well, so it was a lot of fun getting to sit in on rehearsals. I’m so jealous of these kids. I keep thinking how much I would’ve loved to do this version of Dracula when I was in the company!

Check out the video from last year! Visit www.bahbt.org for more information on this years production.

Things I’m Thinking

-Some people just don’t know when to stop.

-I’ve found myself in the midst of grumpy people lately. I try to be extra happy but it seems to make the room sadder… Lighten up people.

-I’m on a major blog high. Can’t get enough of Apartment 34, Design Love Fest, my Lens of Love… there are so many brilliant people in this world!

-It feels good to be at the studio again. Different but the same.

-I REALLY need to do a photoshoot. ASAP.

-Anxiously awaiting Valentines Day. Anthropologie’s Wedding Line is being released. Dream come true! (I’m a huge wedding geek…)

-As of this very moment: New York= 30 degrees, Houston=59 degrees. Jealous, slushy New York???

-What was my life like without Ashley Van Pelt? I don’t remember.

-If you slur the words, “It’s Alright” so that it said, “S’alright,” it sounds like “Sorry.”

-I love my family so so much. I must say, I love living with my bro-in-law, Ryan. I never had brothers, so its fun to have some brotherly teasing. He gives the best advice and always provides great conversation. He and Nat are the cutest couple and I love seeing them all the time!!

-Been home for a week now and do you think I’ve emptied my suitcases? Probably should get on that…

-I’m about to turn 19? This year has certainly flown.

-Isn’t this photo just stunning:

have a great week!

I Never Thought I’d Say This

But I’m so excited to go back to Houston!

Things I’ve particularly missed (besides friends and family):

1. My adorable doggies, Bobby and BJ.

2. Tokyo Bowl. Before I’m even going to my house when I get home I’m eating at Tokyo Bowl. Four months without it has been dreadful.

3. Luis’ class. I can’t wait for him to whip my bootay back in shape.

4. My room. I miss having my own things around me.

5. My Wife, Ashley Van Pelt. I miss this girl so stinkin much and I’m pretty sure we’re going to be inseparable for the next month.

Chapter 1

So I’m currently in my final week here in NY till I go back to htown for a little bit. There’s so much to do! I can’t wait to see everyone back at home.

The other day I decided to ┬ábe slightly touristy and put this vid together. I’d never been on the TKTS stairs in Times Square so I did just that. In the final moments of this short montage, though slightly cheesy, I looked around Times Square and just thought, “Wow. Life is good. This is my city. So many amazing things in my life are going to happen right here.”

I’ve completed what I like to think of as Chapter 1 of my life as a New Yorker. Looking forward to what Chapter 2 will bring…
