So I love browsing through fashion/interior design blogs and I’ve done some major blog surfing lately. Everywhere I look, these stunning hats keep popping up! It’s like they’re taunting me!!! They’re just so freaking gorgeous.
Each more lovely than the last… Sigh…
Why do they have to be $300+ dollars?!
This is why I’m just going to have to marry rich! I have such expensive taste!
Behida Dolic, how I adore your hats. Anyway you can knock down the price? It’d be greatly appreciated!
Since this month is nearing its end, I thought it was about time to put up my March Playlist. It’s been a long, but good month so I had to have lots of music on this list to help me get through it. I’ve been in rehearsals with the Annie cast, gone to the fancy dancy screening of Mars Needs Moms and the dinner honoring Kevin afterwards, went up to NY to move into my new apartment as well as have a rehearsal with Crystal Chapman’s New York TheatreDance Ensemble, and lots of photo shoots this month. Photos of all these things will appear on the blog at a later date.
So without further ado, I present to you my March Playlist.
My favorite new artists I’ve found recently are Jonathan Clay, Meaghan Smith, and Elizabeth & the Catapult. Also Adele’s new album is too amazing for words. GET IT!
Back to blogging soon.
You could follow me on twitter if you miss me!
cbwaycannon as well as cbcphotography for your latest updates… all the cool people are following. you should too.
Hope everyone had a lovely Spring Break!
Missing New York a lot lately. My “a few weeks” trip to Houston turned into “a few months”, and though I’m excited to stay here and be with friends and family and work on this amazing production of Annie, I so miss my big apple. I flip the channel, there’s Lincoln Center. I read Nat the Fat Rat‘s blog and I’m reminded of how I miss Shack Burgers and Magnolias Red Velvet Cupcakes. Everything reminds me of my love for Manhattan.
Before I left New York I went to the adorable bookstore in West Village, Three Lives and Company (and can I say that if i had the money for it, I’d live in the West Village in a heart beat.) I felt like I had just walked onto the set of You’ve Got Mail. One of my purchases was E.B. Whites’s Here is New York. The book is, even though a tad dated, wonderfully accurate and makes my heart happy. Here’s one of my favorite paragraphs:
“There are roughly three New Yorks. There is, first, the New York of the man or woman who was born there, who takes the city for granted and accepts its size, its turbulence as natural and inevitable. Second, there is the New York of the commuter–the city that is devoured by locusts each day and spat out each night. Third, there is New York of the person who was born somewhere else and came to New York in quest of something. Of these trembling cities the greatest is the last–the city of final destination, the city that is a goal. It is this third city that accounts for New York’s high strung disposition, its poetical deportment, its dedication to the arts, and its incomparable achievements. Commuters give the city its tidal restlessness, natives give it solidity and continuity, but the settlers give it passion.”
This is why I love New York. It is just as passionate as I am. I feel the energy in the streets, the still, calmness in the park… Out of any place in the world, New York is a perfect match for my personality.
I’m looking forward to getting back to the city and starting more adventures!
Today my sister’s birthday!!!
She is so beautiful and I love her so much.
Yah for birthdays!
My bestie, Maggie, is entering her third decade of living today and I couldn’t be more excited for her. Maggie is not only my longest dearest friend, but she’s such an example to me in everything she does. I love her so much and want to wish her a very merry birthday!!
